"Joist Span Finder and More" is an iPhone app for quickly finding allowable spans for: "Roof Rafters", "Ceiling Joists", and "Floor Joists"; and for sizing of: "Wood Studs", and "Concrete Footings" for wood-frame buildings designed using the conventional light-frame construction provisions of Section 2308 of 2009 International Building Code, IBC (International Residential Code, IRC similar). To make this app easy and simple, input data choices are limited to those available on the span tables of IBC Chapter 23, and footing table of IBC Chapter 18. This app, therefore, is intended to be equivalent to the span tables, stud table (prescriptive) and footing table (prescriptive) of IBC Chapters 23 and 18 respectively (IRC similar).
